Sorry if this is in the wrong spot. I made this account specifically to ask this question since I didn't have very much luck in obvious places finding information useful to a person such as myself.
My computer stopped being able to play new AAA games once Fallout 4 launched. Is this a graphically demanding game?
I'm not at my PC so I can't dig up specs but this game is hella old, and Kerbal Space Program runs great on my laptop. I assume a similarly modestly visually represented game like this will run okay as well.
Thanks for any help. I hope to be able to buy this game because it seems like there's a deep level of messing around and setting personal goals and working towards them being challenging in their own way, which is a gameplay style I'm heavily into. (Sort of OCD.)

its more CPU intensive then GPU.
But suggest you check out the Demo first then see.

cities is the most likely spot where performance will decrease. due to amount of people and buildings.
so any large city should do.

Couldn't wait; bought the game.
Will post update once I have a chance to play after work tomorrow. If it chugs my PC I'll just refund it, but the game is plain old hideous so I'm optomistic about this.
Very excited.
UPDATE:
I installed the game this morning and took a jog out from where I started down the road about 5 mins to another town. I assume due to the nature of this game it's probably a different location each time you start.
At any rate I hadn't had enough time to play to know for sure it runs smoothly with a lot of npcs but I didn't notice any slowdown in the 2 towns I visited. Only slightly chugging looking out at vast expanses of land I've not yet viewed before, then completely smooth as butter after that initial loading choppiness.
I'm taking it as a very good indication my computer won't have too much trouble managing even in large busy areas like major cities but who knows. I'm going to look into performance mods today just for kicks but I don't think I'll need them.
Will update again once I figure out more. This is my sort of game as far as I can tell, so you might be seeing a lot of me around here.

shadows can tank your performance. so if start having issues., disable or reduce those first.
water reflections can do the same thing if your near water.

That's a good tip. I was told to install a Steam Workshop mod that had a LOT of good reviews and apparently increases performance drastically.
