Toughest game - easiest game

The easiest game for me so far in Kenshi is my all Skeleton game. From the beginning it was easier to survive because I didn't have to worry about food. Injuries were much faster to heal and I was healthier as soon as I patched up damage. There are really only two major issues to an all skeleton game. First is having enough repair kits. Once you can make those on your own you are golden. Second is finding enough Skeletons to join your ranks so you have a big enough force to protect yourself. The latter is the basis for my on going game. Scouring the world to find other Skeletons that want to join my cause.

The toughest game I play is not the one with the toughest start. The toughest start was when my main character lost a leg in his very first fight and had to crawl around every where scavenging others kills till he was able to by the cheapest hiver leg he could get. After that things were more normal difficulty.

But the hardest on going game I have is actually my all hiver game. That is a constant struggle to stay alive. Hivers have the advantage of not needing acid protection, and they can eat anything. Which is good cause I don't have enough funds to keep them in food and limbs and first aid kit, and robotics kits. And it is fairly easy to find recruits and cheap to hire them.
But hivers are soooo weak in a fight that half of them go down in the first few seconds. Even my strongest are genetically so much weaker then a Greenlander that they have to fight way below what other races of the same skill can handle. I have more artificial limbs in my hiver squad then in any two other games combined. In fact I'm taking the time to write this as they are all recovering in rented beds in Flats Lagoon. On top of that they are restricted from trade with both the other hives and HN. The two most common low level starting points. So I have to venture into more dangerous areas just to trade. It's really a challenging game.

Also to note for a huge negative for Skeletons: can't wear a helmet. Against end game bosses like Tinfist, one punch to the head and your skeleton is dead.
