Everytime i begin a new run I run into the same problem. every single time. Multiple times.

bandits raid my base, my only option to escape. Trying to fight is 100% certain death.

So i grab my npcs and exit, but they keep trying to run into the base to "get food".

The only option is to destroy all my food storage containers or run far far away when i could just hide out nearby.

take your food with you in backpacks then while you are hiding out, tell everyone to "follow" one person. if they can get food in backpacks and are actively following someone they will not go back for more food.
