From the whole slavery / prostitutes / moral issues ideas, I got an idea:

I mean, if I were a warrior and saw a complete stranger running towards me, katana in hand, I would think "whatever, let's just kill him and get it over with", but if I saw my sworn enemy doing the same, I'd probably feel really angry at him, and at the same time excited about the incoming fight, so I would put a lot more effort in the fight, right? And if, say, I start attacking a friendly faction, they would be shocked that I'm attacking them, probably begging me to stop and try to make me reason...

So, if a faction sees someone who they have a neutral kind of approval (e.g.: more than -20 to less than +20), they would normally fight if provoked

BUT!

if the one attacking them was a deeply trusted friend or a despised enemy they should be fighting with less and more strength respectively!

Let me know what you think, I'm used to be insulted

Seems interesting to me, although some people might see one of their friends attacking them as a traitor and would attack with increased fervor. Instead of attacking with decreased strength against an ally, they may just go on defensive mode. They'll block more of the hits, and won't sling any out. At least until they're sure they can't reason with who's fighting them to stop this insanity, in which case they would start fighting back.

yeah... I meant something like that, where you have a chance of something happening based on faction collective thinking, or maybe even individual thinking, but still, something unusual for a game happens :)

Started a similar thread a while back, but mine was based on a personal faction based thing. No prostitutes where involved in anyway... :|

But yea, nice idea but I'm not sure if the game would require too much processing power to have to think about who's friends and enemies with who, and if someone is someone elses friend, but their friend is someone's enemy, do they fight with more strength or less...?

That was kind of how the arguement went for the above thread, but if there was an easy way of implementing more personal chemistry between characters, then I'm all for it.

Apologies if this sounds kinda whack, its 2.30am and I'm just winding up for the evening/night...
