That's not even junkyard samurai, it's pretty good looking armor. It makes all the other armors to look junk though.

Looks like it was manufactured by Truth, since it looks good!
(go to hell General Metal, you kill thousands of soldiers with your lies).

needless to say, looks fantastic. I feel like this is a set that would work well on some sort of tribal cult/bandit leader. not something i'd wear but i'll enjoy the eyecandy on my enemies as i slice them to bits.

So um..hate to be the nay sayer...but...Nay. It doesn't look right, how would you raise your knees if you are wearing a skirt of laced steel planks?
These folks are building electric generators and other huge machines with replaceable parts...and cant machine armor?! The technology needed to produce exchangeable parts requires such advanced metallurgy it seems silly seeing a set of armor that looks knitted from broken lawn mower blades.
...and that was a rhetorical question, thank you

Despite being rhetorical, I still have to answer: not very well. I'm certain that it's easier than plate mail from the middle ages, though. That stuff was so cumbersome that they had to be hoisted onto their horses with a crane. Can you imagine trying to run with 60lb steel pants?Scotterius wrote:So um..hate to be the nay sayer...but...Nay. Uh, are you serious? That is completely inaccurate. http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/hd/aams/h ... m#weight_b It is entirely possible to run in plate armor, 60 lbs is the weight of the entire suit of armor, and the crane thing is a complete myth. It is certainly heavy, but the distribution of the weight makes it easier to move around. There are videos that you can watch of folks in period accurate armor running, jumping, and getting on to a horse. The skirt in the screenshot is rigid, which means it would be next to impossible to get the full range of movement in your legs. It certainly looks cool, but it isn't very realistic.Tolwrath wrote: Despite being rhetorical, I still have to answer: not very well.
