hi, I bought the game sometime ago. I noticed on youtube that you can build prisons. Any idea how this is done? I know that walls has been disabled from the changelog but did prison get excluded as well? My game is updated to the newest version.

Also, I noticed that most of the time, unconscious enemies do not stand up even after their wounds have healed and recovered to above 0. They just lie there and eventually, just die. However, if you do not heal them and they somehow managed to recover, then they will stand up. Is this intentional?

Finally, are sword-for-hires a renewable resource? Do they spawn at taverns from time to time, or are there only a set amount of them generated at the start of the game? In other words, am I wasting my time sending my guys into the same taverns looking for recruits every few game days or so.

Welcome to the community!

Currently prisoner cages are also disabled, they should be coming back sometime soon though. if you really need them, you should be able to build them using the in-game map editor (I think it's ctrl+shift+F12).

without seeing screenshots of their health I'm not sure, just take it as you being so powerful that your wounds damage their will to stand too.

Swords-for-hire are sadly not renewable, but there is a way around this. If you use the "new game: import squad with buildings" option, then all npc's, including the swords-for-hire will respawn in the world.

So overtime more from the game population won't be able to recruit?

While you cannot build prisoner cages as of this build you can utilize the existing cages in the Police buildings of certain towns (Catan is my first choice but I have seen 3 others). Placing NPC's with bounties (visible on their character description screens) inside these cages will earn your faction reward cats.

if you want to run your own prison a previous respondent is correct you will have to use an editor or mod.

The default character faction size is 20 members currently. There are several more NPC's available than what you can actually have at one time. Hired swords are useful early on but a simple 700 cat laborer can be easily raised to a sell swords skill level after just a little bit of research and some random running and carrying to raise stats. If your faction members die I suppose it is a matter of opinion if they should be infinitely renewable.

I would btw like a means to actually dismiss characters from a faction rather than just executing them but again that is a simple matter of opinion.

I agree dismissing members and having them work as AI from then out would be nice. An renewable supply of recruits would be nice for all the factions to choose from. Something like mentioned here..

That would be nice for all factions to build up their stables. It would be nice to even have the ability to offer civilians outside of bars, but they would be less likely/take much more to hire. In cultures that are into slavery, perhaps they force civilians and slaves to fight in battles/partake in raids for them.

Thanks for the responses. After reaching full tech, and getting a dozen or so men, all using stolen armor from guards and crafted weapons, there doesn't seem to be any more goals I can think of short of mass slaughter. Keen for next major updates :)
