Hi all,
Just played my first game. Couldn't resist supporting the team after a friend gave me a brief tour and bought my first alpha title.
How about we start a thread documenting what we know of the stats: what effects they have on the game, how you raise them and whether or not they're functional or broken. Please state where the knowledge comes from (dev team, previous post, trial and error...)
Here's a bit of my paltry knowledge to start off:
Strength: combat damage, raised by moving with heavy weight over time (other posts)
Dexterity: to hit chance, raised by moving with light weight (other posts, guessing)
Stats guide and discussion

Strength is also increased by fighting with heavy weapons and DEX is increased by fighting with katanas... I believe.
In game - you can click on STATS and on the lower left part of that screen you can see where it will say "strength bonus from weight" or something like that, and then a percentage amount. The same goes for DEX with katanas and running, and strength for fighting with heavy weapons.
I'm guessing that once archery is included it will be related to DEX.
Does anyone know if Chris plans to incorporate more abilities? Like constitution to attribute more hit points or resistance to damage? Or is that part of strength or something else?

I noticed that the Athletics skill seems to somehow affect XP but haven't figured out how yet!
I also heard running builds strength while jogging builds dexterity. No idea if it's true, or if choosing one or the other affects speed, etc. I assume eventually they will incorporate endurance and fatigue so your guys can't run indefinitely at full speed.
I never saw that but i doubt is so, independent on what speed you run should always affect the same at different porportions, + depending on waht you carry, heavy, light or none.Ebenweb wrote:I also heard running builds strength while jogging builds dexterity. Right.
Carrying a heavy load equals bonus to strength
Carrying light or weightless while running equals bonus to athletics.
Fighting w heavy weapon equals bonus to strength.
Fighting with katana equals bonus to dexterity.

What is max blood based on?
First I thought it was the size of the companion but even the smallest one have 87 max blood.
I have 20 chars. Four (i think) have 87 max blood and the rest 75.
Also my main has highest stats in everything exept laburing/engineering and max 75 blood.
Maybe it has something to do with labouring/engineering skill hm.
Or maybe something even more obvious

I believe how many points a character has in blood is directly related to their strength attribute, but I could be wrong. I remember quite a while ago someone saying that the feature was broken and that blood points are only generated when the character is generated, not increased when your strength does.

Indeed, Hp is bound to what the guys str is at the time you get it him seems. such as when that legendary guy he starts with 90. Engineers start with, 83, and the base nobody's get 75, my old solider start started with 93 hp, which is nice.
