So I just noticed that every time the Grain Silo OUTPUT is full, the worker runs to the nearest Well, and begins ferrying water from that Well to nearby farms that are currently being operated as well as Rum Stills. When the Well runs dry, he moves on to the next Well until all those buildings are filled to the brim with Water or the Wells run dry.

Really interesting, and I thought it didn't deserve to be a Bug Report as much as a question if others found this?

EDIT: It appears he does this until the Cooking Stove has at least 1 Water in its INPUT, but he prioritizes every other Water consuming structure before the Cooking Stove.

Nope, this guy has the Grain Silo as his sole Job.
Pretty nifty, eh?

How do you even get people to move items on their own? So far I have to move everything by hand except that my builders will go fill their inventories with building materials from the stockpile even if they don't need that many to build something when I ask them to build something.

I have noticed it too, silo guy fills other structures with watter without any command.

Overall my base works automatic without problems and also a shiftclick medic heals everybody after each battle before doing his other job = very well done.

Only task I dont know how to do is bringing bread / rum / textiles from their respective storages to shop counter - would be cool if there was a shopkeeper command.

Place the storage close enough to the shop counter, and you can open both the Store and storage at the same time, and put them in there.

Again, make sure everything i set to public, out post building that Shop counter is in.

you can directly place stuff from the bread storage containers, and rum storage containers into the shop counter if you put them close enough, to the shop counter. you can open both the window for the , shop counter; and the bread barrel.

Shop Counter does not require (in fact doesn't even allow) a worker to man the station. It takes a while for NPC traders to buy things from your counter, I've noticed, as the trader corpses I've found tend to have incredibly packed inventories (good if you want your faction to become another group of bandits later)
