Fortifying my outpost

Originally I wanted to ask you how to make a gap-less wall circle (including a gate) around my town because I wasn't able to do it. Well, I just figured it out so I'm posting that instead (in case somebody doesn't manage it, too):

You have to build the gate last since it will pop into the gap thus creating a closed wall (if the gap is about the correct size, I had to delete and rearrange some wall parts for that). If you build the gate first you will be able to continue building a wall clock-wise but when it comes to closing the circle again the game won't let you fit in walls from the left. Nobody needs a gate if there's a large opening in the wall next to it.

Btw you can't build ramps, though. They are put high in the air. Somebody already mentioned it in the bugs section.

what launcher are you using? Through the steam launcher there are no walls. Just wondering thanks

I'm using the Steam version, too. You have noticed you have to research the walls first, right?

Oh well thanks for the post. NPCs still walk through my walls though.

If you're sure your walls are completely enclosed, and not backwards, you might try the in-game path rebuilder with ctrl+shift+F11. It'll rebuild all the path nodes, hopefully making your walls impassable.
