Is it possible to find someone to teach my guy how to sword fight?
If so.. How?
A sword teacher?
Perhaps in a future release, this is still the alpha and currently the major concerns are bugs and crashes to deliver a more stable version of the game.
You can refer to this thread http://www.lofigames.com/phpBB3/viewtop ... f=10&t=480 to see what you can do to raise your attack skill.
When I started out in Kenshi, I would pull bandits to towns and let the guards take the aggro off of me, then I would try to throw in a few blows to get my skill up

Also, if you click the 'blocks' button in the bottom right, then your characters will get a large bonus to their defensive skill.
Although, this means your character will do nothing but block attacks.
This allows your character a higher level of block, and as he blocks, his defensive skill well level. Eventually you will be able to turn off 'blocks' and then your character will be able to attack, his defensive skill will be 10 or w/e you stop using 'blocks' at. This will allow you to survive longer to actually attack and raise your offensive skill.
I think 'blocks' adds 20 to your defensive skill.
So when you hit 30 with it on, you will be at a base of 10 defensive skill. This should allow you to hold yourself for a bit against a single dust bandit.
