First I have to say this game is simply great!

Now I was wondering for those players who are able to trade with caravans where there towns are located. Mine is currently below Telbooze. I started out with my store in a saloon but since changed it to an outpost. And so far I haven't seen a trader since I switched my town to public. I know I had another post similar to this but I just wanna try any work arounds people have been able to do.

Sorry I forgot to mention I have the steam version if that makes a difference.

Currently, trade caravans are non-functional in regards to trading with player-created outposts.
They used to work, but they don't anymore. Likely, they will resume functionality a few patches down the line since the next patch is going to be big.

Thank you for clearing this up. Also are you able to buy a house in towns and trade there?

you can buy a house in town
but you will have the same issue with trade there as well.
until it gets fixed, trade for now is basically broken.

We're expecting the next update sometime in the next week or so, although until it is released other than the addition of Harpoon Turrets it's tough to say exactly what it will entail.
