Walls V in my opinion have an exagerated design: the gate is far bigger and taller than any other building you can meake in your base. The gate itself is so big it becomes the most prominent building of your base.
The walls are taller and even bulkier than many buildings (i know you can adjust height, never made sense to me to go less than tallest, also becouse now turrets have height bonuses).
In my opinion the art design does not fit with the rest too: the buildings are very simple and undecorated, even outpost 4 seems just functional, the new walls have a lot of details, round windows, spikes, different colors, many complicated elements. It seems they are built by someone completly different that who built the rest of the base.
They are also very buggy to build, but this is out of topic.
I would have preferred a wall style similar to the one used for the city walls: functional and undecorated.
The last bearable wall design for me is wall III and gate III, so my suggestion is: give us different wall design to choose from, or make bigger buildings so it doesn't seem you built fort knox to put a siingle penny in it.

Bear in mind that in this instance, the walls and the building have been quite literally made by different people.
IIRC, Chris sourced the buildings online for free when he was starting to work on the game, whereas the walls, new character models and new armour are being made, I believe, by a dedicated 3d art studio he's hired. I'd expect that the current buildings may be phased out in the future for fancier looking models, of much higher quality. But that's the reason they look so different.

Good to know, i'm ok with that. Kenshi is still in development but already gave me 150+ hours of fun, so i will live with wall III untill the new map is released.ChiefNinja wrote:Bear in mind that in this instance, the walls and the building have been quite literally made by different people.

(I would live with wall III, now it seems that new wall construction mechanism is giving problems, so i'm living without walls at all, you dare come in-ma base)
