So i was quite disappointed in this turn of events but recently I've been playing Baldur's gate and came across a few pieces of their forum where their team were helping indie developers with art work etc. and remembered there was dual wielding there. Would it be possible to transfer those animations and models over to the engine used for Kenshi? I know little about computing
Nito (dual swords) ?
As i remember, Chris in the past showed interest in making a dual wield style but had said that he couldn't find the model and animation to do it and hadn't the resources to create one. I myself do Kendo and use the Nito style (which is the only dual wielding style in Kendo, using a Daito and a Shoto).

As i'm sure they'd be happy if you asked them as they have done so in the past if it were possible.

I'd doubt it, really, since the Baldur's gate chars will likely have a completely different setup with regards to skeleton, rigging and animation etc. And Kenshi is in a different engine.
I think I remember the dev saying he mostly uses free libraries of mocap animations, and that he can't really add more styles until he can hire an animator or a mocap studio. If you're really good at kendo, it might be worth sticking around, just in case he needs to mocap some kendoka one day

I have also an interest in Nito, to be more precise in Niten Ichiryū, but extended with every possible combination(i.e.: Katana/Wakazashi, Wakazashi/Wakazashi, Katana/Katana, Sabre /Wakazashi, Sabre/Katana, Sabre/ Sabre, Fragmented Axe/Fragmented Axe, Fragmented Axe/ Katana, Fragmented Axe/Wakazashi, ... , Hacker/ Topper, etc, you know what I mean, i guess).
But you would need certain specifications to be able to do what, or else penalty.

That might actually be a cool addition if strength increased the size of a possible secondary weapon.Potocobe wrote:Show me the guy who can wield TWO fragment axes and I will show you a guy who gets to do whatever he wants.
