from the november progress update "NPC AI now has a schedule. They go to bed at night. Shopkeepers shoo you out of their shop at closing time and lock up for the night. "

Does this mean we'll get a sleep/fatigue system one of these days? Or will your people just never have to sleep for whatever reason.

Fatigue is going to be a thing at some point I think, not sure where I read it but sounds legit.

I believe fatigue will tie in with the 'Hunger and thirst' category on the Roadmap, so we have a little while for that.

Coffee, or rather, caffeine, is an addictive substance. Once you start to rely on coffee, you begin to rely on coffee in that you can't have normal levels of energy without it. I really hope the aspect of "prolonged use of stims causes them to make your character start needing them" makes its way into the game. Caffeine even has withdrawal symptoms for trying to break an addiction, notoriously bad headaches and fatigue.

Did you know: they even put caffeine in chapstick to make people want to use it more? I'm not even kidding.

Aside from legitimate 'menthol' I assume. The medical journals does a number on them as well, but it's the medical journal databases that the public don't have general access to. My word, the aspartame and artificial dyes are the food safety battlefronts with a good reason.
