While im happy with my current set-up because of its relatively low weight and high armour i do have a couple of questions to ask. First of all, is it better to have high armour all the time, especially when fighting solo against groups? I am using my medium armour as its not too heavy, but still offers some protection. Id also like to ask you all about the different unique armours you have come across, and how they compare to regular armour types such as mercenary plate
Outfitting my crew

Hey guys, ive been keeping my saves for several weeks now, and have hunted far and wide for unique sets of armour to outfit my characters for the best balance of armour/combat bonuses. Currently, my main character (Around 60 in all combat stats) is equipped with the (Rags Armoured - Medium Armour- High Grade), (Armoured Hood, Standard Grade, Medium Armour),(high grade drifter pants), (High grade drifter boots),(Home made Edge 5 katana).

I once found a high grade merc plate in my travels to find a shop that had space to dump some loot. I then proceeded to go afk researching longer then expected over riding an auto save and not having a non auto save with the plate had to revert to an older file.
The merc plate wasn't much better then the avg grade in armour protection but had a nice reduction in athletic penalties. I can't recall if it was slightly lighter or a nice reduction in weight too.
I'm just wondering is there any "awesome" weapons?

Personally, I've never seen anything above Standard Grade, and I have a wandering gang of 24 members with stats in the 30-50 range.
As far as armour goes, I tend to stay away from Heavy armour, and sometimes Medium armour, because I like to train Dexterity and Athletics before anything else. Occasionally train Strength by carrying unconscious pack mules for extended periods of time.

Backpack full of steel bars and a corpse do nicely.
My heavy hitters all wear heavy armor, quick weapons get lighter armor. The heavy hitters mostly do security work and pack mule duties anyways so the speed penalty doesn't mean much.
