Trespassing and reaction time

In 0.90.4, I had some odd experiences with trespassing, and I'm not sure whether I should post it as a bug report or here. It definitely could use some adjusting.
I entered some poor dudes living room, and the second my foot touched the ground in his house he instantly screamed for help and some paladins attacked me. I thought a warning would have been nice, but later I saw that some people do indeed warn you, but there's also a problem with that.
I entered some Y-shaped building in Blister Hill and it was full of paladins who first all started yelling "Out of bounds! Get out!", but I had no time walk the three steps out again. I was in the building for like two seconds and then they started to get aggressive. This is not working as intended, right? Or is the Holy Nation just not accustomed with politeness and hospitality?
