Will let you know if this works :)

Update Edit: Hey tried it out seems to work fine icon works great replaces shortcut icon aswell :D
However on my pc the icon looks like an orange cat eye :) but then i have my icons rather small though :)

Wonder if Chris will use this one or if he will make one of his own hmm.....

Many Thanks
Richard Ballard

Its time to look at the bigger picture, Everything has a reaction and from that reaction comes a consequence which turns to a reaction, Therefore making a chain of reactions which can change the world we live in!!!

What will you do...

Well, while we're at it, here are the steps to take to use a custom icon on Windows 7 (Windows Vista too probably, but most likely not XP):

1- What we wanna do first is grab an icon (it must be a .ico file. Not that changing a .jpg/.png/.etc into a .ico won't work, although you can find websites that do that for you)...

2- ...and then simply paste it in the Kenshi installation folder (from your shortcut: right click and Open File Location). This'll make it easier to locate - if you're like me and Kenshi is installed on an external harddrive, this'll allow you to take the whole folder with you and never have to change the icon every time.

3- Now, right click the executable (.exe) of Kenshi. Better yet, go straight for the shortcut you should have on your desktop, true Kenshi player.

4- Select Properties.

5- Then, simply click on "Change Icon".

6- Since the .exe doesn't have any icon, you'll be sent to the folder containing all default Windows icons.

7- From there, navigate to your Kenshi installation folder, and once you're there you'll notice only .ico files show up. Just select one, Apply, and you're done!

8- If one day, by some wizardry (it happens!), the icon does not show up anymore, repeat step 4 to 7 to refresh it.

For what it's worth, I also quickly made one... I couldn't bear the default "no icon" icon ^^
It's only one of the banner (the one with the swordsman on the right) of this board cropped. Except lots of black.

I like that square icon a lot, I'm more of a square than round icon type... as long as the KENSHI text part is not part of the icon, or else when using it, you would have Kenshi written down twice lol.

You should always proofread carefully to make sure you didn't any words out.

Need help? pm me or any other mod.

Adding a slightly different, larger version so it works in Large-icon view.
