i didnt see any info on creating meshes for the game (if it exists please point me in the right direction...)
i have this simple mesh i made of a small oasis: http://i.imgur.com/OEY1FrH.png

i exported it to a ogre mesh file, and then tried setting it up in game - but every time i try to build it - the game crashes

here's how it's set up in the construction set:

i used some of the basic mine files to supplement the oasis's - it should be about the same size, so collisions should be the same (or close enough)

Not too familiar with building meshes but have you tried cloning one of the buildings and then replacing the information such as meshes, texture files, scaling/sizes, and actions?

i can only use folders that already exist, not my own. i had created an extra folder to keep my resources organized, but i guess i cant do that.....

might wanna add that info to the basic guide XD

Good that you figured it out, I'm not sure if it would work but organizing through folders withing the pre-defined folders like 'data/buildings/oasis/' could work. I'm guessing the system is set up a bit like the folders for Skyrim, inside data it has meshes, textures, etc and specific files have to go in there but beyond that can be organized into whatever folders you like.

There is some kind of special setup within the meshes. I tried creating a sword this time (not converting from TL2) and it doesn't work. I can make something as simple as a box, use Ogre to convert it to a .mesh and it'll freeze the game up.

Until the dev. posts more information on modeling, there won't really be much of a solution.

Wouldn't weapon meshes go in 'data\items\weapons\mesh' instead of 'data\meshes'? Chris might put up a more detailed post about how to do this if we ask really nice...
