Hello @all
After playing Kenshi for over 700hours and never considered modding myself, i startet 2 weeks ago and went really deep into it, meaning that for this 2 weeks i have already many hours studying Blender, watching and reading tutorials.
I can now create Items in Kenshi like Weapons and Armour, but still having issues with Gimp/Paint.net to make decent colors, don't really get how to Diffuse and the whole mapping thing, stuff look metallic and from far away turn black.
I also can overwrite animations and make stupid funny stuff.
But what i would like to do is to add animations instead of overwriting. For example the idle_stand_relax, i would like that the character starts doing wierd stuff. I can create a ton of keyframes and playback it in Blender, but ingame doesnt happen a thing, exept those animations who got a lot of poses, i can do something like a flapping Beep.
I can replace the F0 Pose to something funky, this will work ingame, but any aditional keyframe not if the Action doesn't contain multiple poses.
Another thing is, i cant edit the Character Models. I dont know what i need to do, any change i make on Blender to the Model is not visible ingame.
I tried with the Human of kenshi_template.blend, also with the fe/male_skeleton. Tried with FCS and even replacing the main Files.
For example i add Horns to the Forehead. I tired with and without Object-Apply-Location/Rotation/Scale bevore exporting, obviously also selected the model, selected with and without skeleton.
I tried many possible combination Export with tangents, binormals, skeleton, animation, apply transform, shape keys, many possible things, but never get it to work. I tried everything out what i learned on how to export animations and items.
I am stuck now for a good while and can't continue, would like to create things for the Workshop, but i dont get much further with googling and scrolling through forums, any help would be much appreciated.
Modify Character Models and adding animations
