How to make custom eapon and armor icons?

Hey guys. I'm planning on making a combo mods of variou weapons and armor that i really like but the problem is mst of them have auto-generated inventory icons which don't work for me. So I decided to make my own. I would even use some of the vanilla weapons if i had to because if i don't it can lag your game when opening an inventory.

So any ideas?

Items, like weapons for example, all have two nodes regarding inventory and icon options. I only modified existing ones, but there is an option to deactivate the 'auto icon' set to true or false. There is a field 'icon' where you might be able to point out a specific file to act as the item icon.
