Hello,

I bought Kenshi 20 days ago and now all I think about is playing Kenshi. At first, the current mods were enough but I started to want MORE and some more personal things so thus I am here. I've read that modding Kenshi is super easy and have read a few guides but I'm more of a visual person so reading guides don't really do it for me but they have indeed helped. So I made this post to ask questions and hopefully get answers.


My first and foremost question is that when you make a mod and edit an existing entry does that mean that it will only be changed when the mod is active or does it edit it in the game files directly? I've seen people say to always create a new item and not to edit them as it can cause problems. I just want to know if I can edit an entry when creating a mod and when I disable that mod will it revert back to the original entry?

After this question get's answered then I can start my modding madness and when I run into another snag then I shall return back to this post and ask for more help!

Mod away - don't worry.

If you look at the 'Changes' made by a mod, any value that has been changed (with blue text) will include the addition of a new value and the deletion of the old one. So should you not load that mod later - well it will be as if the new value never existed and the old one was always there in the first place.
