My Method for Trading.

For the start, I'll scavenge some supplies so I can at least take a couple hits when crossing paths with bandits. Once that's done, recruit two Swords for Hire, and place them at two different towns, this way, you can double tap their number to move your camera to their position, and single tap your "mule" who should have a trader backpack, and be the best equipped. Now that you have your trade route set up, go to a trading post, and buy what you can afford that has the price markup less than 90%, that way, when you go to a shop, there's almost always a guarantee that whatever you're selling is a profit. You can expand your trade route by recruiting more followers, and escorting them to another town.
