Save files not in usual location

Hi, I'm trying to edit one of my save files and cannot find any of my most recent save files in:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Kenshi\save

They still appear when I'm in-game and load with no issue, but I can't find where the actual files are stored.

Are there are other locations apart from the folder above where they are stored?

The default save location has been changed. It is now:
C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\kenshi\save

(If you cannot find the AppData folder, you may have hidden folders/files set to not be visible, and will need to change that.)

You can revert this setting in the options menu if you wish, using the "Use Save Location" option. Though it is suggested to keep it, since this change was done to fix a number of issues.
