I'm trying to create a conversation between two NPCs and the player's chosen character. To do this, I naturally assumed interjection nodes would easily allow for this. Wrong. First, if you attempt to use an interjection BEFORE the player controlled character has an opportunity to speak, it will end the conversation. Second, once an NPC has interjected, thereafter they take over all the T_ME dialogues. Setting the original NPC as a second interjector does not work to re-assign them lines, as it simply ends the conversation immediately. Setting a THIRD NPC as the originator of the dialogue, allows both other NPCs to be interjectors, however, once the second interjector has spoken it is impossible to assign any further dialogues to interjector 1, as this simply ends the dialogue OR will for some unclear reason assign the dialogue to the non-interjecting NPC. It's all very bizarre and nonsensical.
Why is this system so bad and broken? Shouldn't it be really simple and straightforward? Is there a way to do this that I'm missing? Also, just as a total aside, why is there no undo command? Or the ability to copy/paste? So many very simple QOL changes would make the FCS soooo much user friendly and promote mod creation. I waste so much time working on mods with things that would take seconds with just a few minor tweaks/additions to the creator set.
