Buildings Unlocked Mod.

This mod unlocks most of the buildings you can not yet build. By building a level 2 research table and researching what is available you unlock all the way up to a level 6 research bench which is required for the entire research tree.

Just incase people dont know already this mod file goes into your kenshi/data folder and need to be added into the mods document as Buildings Unlocked.mod

Do you mean unlocking the buildings and things without having to research them or do you mean being able to build the buildings from towns which currently cannot be built by the player?

The latter, building the buildings from towns that can not be built at the moment. Research needs to be done to unlock them though.

Been building a mod to the same, only problem is that its a long process. there are a lot more buildings in the game than appears. and a lot of them don't actually have textures or a purpose. guessing they haven't been added yet (future updates). However there is a way around it. its called, "F12". It opens the 'in-game' map editor so u can add the buildings your after. although when u use it all faction data is deleted making you and everyone else a target fo ANYONE. to remedy this, simply quick save, exit and load. this 'should' reset faction data and make it so u can go shopping without having to kill everyone(including the traders).

oh and u can also delete existing buildings using the same process. *Warning* all changes made using this method appear to be PERMANENT. so starting a new game after to reset will not work. all changes u made will still be there unless u either undo them or re-install

Yeah but using that function causes crashes VERY often and general instability, it's just be nice to build without all that the way it is supposed to be done.

I would love to have a copy of this when you are done with it elmonodara, are you adding new research for the buildings too or are you adding them as extra unlocks throughout the current tech tree?

WTF..... at what point did I say "-snip-" seriously. I have not had a single crash when using F12. At all. so If your suffering crashes when using maybe look to your system. I've only had Kenshi crash a few times and that was my own fault for leaving it going when my kids were in the room unsupervised.

I don't think he meant to say you had said snip I think he just wanted to show there was text there but wanted to keep the post shorter.

Well someone has an incredibly short fuse, replacing a chunk of text with '-snip-' is simply a way of keeping posts shorter on the page, quite common on many mature forums where long discussions take place. Using the in-game editor to place a specific building actually causes the game to crash for everyone so either you haven't explored it fully or you are simply lying. My system is custom built to a high enough spec to run any game without performance problems so that most certainly is not the issue.

The crashes can generally come from anything and in may case having an 8 core processor and running two graphics cards in tandem can cause issues now and again with games not fully prepared to deal with that. Throw Windows 8 in with that and I guess some programs can have trouble, regardless of how well polished they are. Just because you have not had crashes doesn't mean that instability and crashing does not happen to many others, considering I've spent time to build 8 separate and quite large towns using F12 it is not a surprise I am experiencing crashes.

On a more topical discussion, this mod is fantastic, I forgot I installed it by the time I reached building a settlement again and immediately thought that the game had an update since I last played.

Yeah the download link no longer works, Mediafire is a good choice for uploads, yet to have any of my links stop working through that service.
