[MOD] Chainmail and Chain shirts textures

Hello,

I've been playing this game for over two years now and everytime i come back i make this very simple change ... Well might sound simple but to my humble skills it's still takes 2h to make it good-looking ^^ ! The textures fits better with assassins rags, ninja rags, samurai armors and mercenary plates/leather armour thanks to the greenish shade of the metal and the subtle brown background (again, check out the chainmail sheets texture it's the same base), but it looked ok on holy paladins.

I don't know the rules here about modding, first time i'm willing to share any change to this game with the community, so here is what i did with the chainmail texture item icon is not included, i failed to make a proper icon so maybe later:

Of course the variant for darkchain exist for both male and female. All textures replace diffuse maps, specular maps and normal maps with correct file format. Shinyness is subtle but there, and it renders better ingame than in screenshots actually.

When i first played and got the chainmails i thought this undershirt was a nice idea, but i disliked the texture, so i went looking for the one the game use for chainmail sheets trade goods and made a completely new look out of it for the ingame armour. After all, why would chainmail shirt look different than the actual crafting material suggest ^^ ?

basically it's re-sizing, merging, copy-pasting stuff, then a few layers option in photoshop for blending effects and folds (from the leather shirts counterparts, since it fits with the chainmail texture somewhat, being the same mesh and all ...).

Question is, are there people interested in those textures for their game, if so can i share the textures freely here or must i ask for authorization or post it in nexus or something ? For now it's for my own very selfish fun but if anyone want's the same textures for chainmail i made these out of ingame material and my own skills. Anything else is painted from scratch (the leather actually, collar and sleeves).

Yep, you can freely upload your mod to the forums. Preferably you zip it in a way, that people just have to extract it to the Kenshi folder. You don't have to upload it to the Nexus but we (or at least I) would appreciate it.

Reaching the point i could craft Chainmail stuff, i saw myself a bit disapointed by how they look, remembered having seen this post and the pics, and so came here to eventually get them...
