Lo-Fi Games

So I don't even know if it's possible, but I had the idea to import one squad from a save to another, as a member of a faction(not playable). My first idea was to copy the platoon files in the savegame and edit the faction, but it's actually not possible(or I haven't find the right way).

The goal was for example to have a squad you levelled to be pretty powerful and import them as members of let's say Dust Bandits. This way it adds some antagonists to spice things up.

Has anybody done something similar?

It's possible, but a bit trickier to do than you'd think.

The gist of it is to basically save the body file of your characters using the plastic surgeon guys in the saloons (they still exist right?). Afterwards, you'd need to write down the stats of your characters so you can create a custom stat file for each of them to use. The easier way would be to simply set the combat stats in their character file, but that wouldn't be an exact copy now would it. Lastly, you just need to add their equipment and you'll be good to go.

Don't forget that the weapon manufacturer is how strong the weapon will be.
