Modeling for Kenshi
I started playing around with putting my own models into Kenshi, so far I was able to successfully put a simple katana into the game. I wasn't able to get a new item to show in the vendors though, how do you go about doing that? Also, would it be at all possible to get a reference model, so modeling armor for the characters isn't going to be a lot of guessing? I had gotten lucky when I put the katana in, and it was all oriented properly.

Items ingame are randomly generated for vendors, (Chris http://www.lofigames.com/phpBB3/viewtop ... f=10&t=958). In the Fogotten Construction set there is 'Weapons (mesh)' & 'Weapon models (meterial)'. I have hardly used the fogotten construction set but assuming that the information used for this random generation is from there. Just adding new information might create new random items (When yuo start a newgame/import) based on your model and textures.
But I'm just guessing.

Yeah, I assumed the same thing, tried to see if it was possible to add the items to the vender manually, because from the looks of it the items are defined in the character, and then after that it gives it the type, and manufacturer. Just going off of what it looks like though. Couldn't get the item to show in any vendor.

you need to add it to the vendor lists in the CS. Also you need to set it to auto icon generation mode because it may just be invisible, best to copy the params from a similar weapon. Even then, it is randomly chosen from the vendor lists, so will not appear every time.
