PM'ed key still doesnt activate on steam

Post here if you have problems ordering or unlocking the evaluation version with your new key

i know this subject has been beaten to death, but i would really like to be able to add kenshi to steam. what can i do to get my key working on there since it does not now, beta mode or not.

the steam beta mode stuff, i already tried.
chris manually generated me the PM'ed key, so do i need to get a new key by sending off an email or something to the order processing company?
