that's a windows error message.
you need to check windows help database for a fix to that.
but here's a link to a website with several different tries for fixing it.
though if it doesn't work you may still require to head to windows and ask them for help.

Hello.
Just want to make sure,
I would like to ask a question related to the game activation. If I were to purchase the game via Steam, would I be able to use the Steam key to activate the game demo here? I don't mind having to wait longer for new patches compared to those who play the game through Steam.
Thank you

Hi, I just recently downloaded the demo on one computer. I booted the game up, and it worked great! However, I downloaded it on another computer (the one I'm currently using) and when I launch the game I am met with an error that says: "No available renderers found." I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, my drivers, and directX but nothing seems to be working.

try using a program called dependency walker.

Ok, I don't wanna be too needy, but once i have Dependency Walker open, do I just drag the Kenshi.exe into the program or...? (I'm not that savvy when it comes to downloading stuff/file reading/ ect. so please mind my idiocy)

Ok, sorry to flood the thread, but I got it. I just needed to go into my AppData folder and launch Kenshi from there.

you can only have two people, your levels are capped at 20, you can not use mods. think there was one more but i forget what it was.

My client is okay. I can load other torrents.
Hope to hear from you. Bye.
Try to open it with 7zip instead of Winrar or Zip

Hi, I bought this game about 6 years ago. I have the latest 1.0.7 standalone version as found here, but it appears there's much newer versions as loading it up on steam shows that the latest is 1.0.47b. I can't find any way to update my standalone game to the latest version that is on steam though. I would really like to update my standalone so I can play it with the latest features and bug fixes without having to run it through steam. Are there any plans for this? Or what about adding an auto-updater to the standalone (I know there were issues with this years ago, but maybe things have changed)? Or would my best option at this point be to buy the game again on GOG (which wasn't available when I purchased my copy years ago)? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
PS: Would a Haiku help any?

In answer to my own question (and other people may find helpful):
I discovered that I really don't need the updated standalone version (though it might still be a good idea if you updated the one found here) as the steam version is itself standalone. You just need to run the game executable in the steam install location and it acts just like the standalone version without needing to run steam. So I can still play the latest version offline and DRM free; just need the steam client to keep it updated.
PS: Another Haiku for your enjoyment:
