Regular keys now registering with Steam Beta

Just got an update for a new steam beta. The patch notes mentioned a fix for registering "very long keys."
I updated to the new Steam beta, registered my Kenshi key that was bought with BMT, and it took just fine.

Thanks for the heads up. Had just signed off for the night when I noticed your thread and had to immediately log back into steam to activate my copy of the game, lol.

Anyone have any luck with Desura keys? Mines still not working.

I can confirm that after switching to the beta a key is redeemable on Steam.

My key (bought the very day Kenshi first became available for purchase) doesn't work even after switching to the Steam beta client. Is there anything special to keep in mind when trying to activate a key from the early days? Or do they just not work for Steam activation?

My Desura key isn't working, only a big deal when I'm playing on my laptop so not too concerned.

Yes, I first tried the key before changing to steam beta, did not work, then I changed to steam beta and it worked fine (even with one of the first kenshi keys from long ago)

Been trying to redeem mine for a little while now with no luck.

Tried before the beta update and of course had no joy, tried after the beta update and still had no joy. Using a desura key, not sure why I'm having trouble if desura key's are fine, driving me up the damn wall.

Hi. Just wanted to chime in here that I bought Kenshi on Desura and my key that I retrieved from Desura is also not working to activate on Steam. I'm definitely on the beta client, I even noticed the change log about it now accepting longer keys, it's just not taking my Kenshi key from Desura as being valid.

Okay Chris put a poll up so it would probably be helpful if everyone who could or couldn't register their existing key vote in it so he can determine which group may still be having problems.

Remember you do need to be on the Steam beta client for the key to work. However some of us are already on it and it still isn't working.
