Desura key not registering on Steam

Hi there
Apologies I know your getting inundated with these right now so have gone through the various threads myself to see if I could get it working but unfortunately I can't get steam to accept my key.
I bought it through Desura so have copied my key from there and posted directly (I'll send you my Key in a PM as soon as i finish typing this) but no joy.
I've also put steam into beta mode to see if that helps since it has helped most people now but again no joy.
I bought the game on 24/12/11 and saw you mention some codes from 2011 (not 100% when the game released. I had just got desura and liked the idea of it so figured i'd buy it in alpha and wait for it to develop) needed to have the name in front however again no joy. I've also see you mention in a post last week some of the earlier serials haven't yet gone over to steam and wasn't sure if mine might be one of them?
Anything obvious I've managed to completely miss somewhere?
