CD Key work around

Any chance that I can get a temp key or something to get past the CD key prompt? All Steam wants to do is tell me 'Requesting key...', and Steam support just seems to ignore my ticket. I'd rather not wait a month for them to figure out how to get their own software to work, and I'm really interested in this game and I want to try it.

If I need to prove I own it, I can just post a link to my profile and you can check the games I own from there. None of the solutions for getting Steam to tell me something other than 'Requesting key...' for Kenshi's CD key window seem to work, and I'm fed up with having to wait weeks to try a game I paid for. I hope I don't seem snarky or anything, but this kind of anti-piracy measure just seems to be getting in the way.

Try this solution first:
"I had this problem today, deleted a file called "localconfig.vdf" in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\92291496\config
Restart steam and problem solved."
(the exact file you need to delete may be a different name).

Like I said, I've tried everything I can find, nothing I've done has helped, including that. I just don't think Steam can handle a key of that size yet, even though it's what the Beta promises. The only way I can get to play the game until there's a legitimate fix from Valve is to have a temporary key, or something.

Thanks for the spare key, Chris. I'll use the one Steam eventually gives me, if I can. I appreciate the help!
