The name/key you entered does not appear to be valid

I've been encountering this error when I try to enter my key in.
I've tried copying/pasting the name and code I received from the confirmation email, nothing.
I've tried manually copying the name and code I received, nothing.
I've tried restarting the game numerous times and retried copying/pasting the name and code, nothing.
I've tried reinstalling the game, nothing.
Any help?
The game itself is installed on a separate partition on my hard drive, there will be no admin right issues.

sent you a new key. Did the key name have non-english letters in?

Just got home and encountered same problem. I have long Y ( ý ) in my name. Could that be problem? I dont have much time to play anyways (it's all work and no fun these days) but i like to at least enter a code.

pm me your real names + email you used when you bought, and I'll send you both new keys.

If you had the game gifted use the recipient name that was entered into that text box by the person who gifted it to you. It would of been above recipient email address text box.
I had to gift the game to myself and it gave me my real name as my name for my key, when it was actually the name I inputted into the "recipients name" text box that I needed to enter.
