Ok I will try. These are current games.
1.Mount&Blade: Warband
2. Sword of the Stars (only tried the first one)
3. Star Wolves series
4. Dawn of War series
5. (less clear) I think it would be Fallout: New Vegas, I keep firing it up every week or so.

Alien Swarm (For free and pretty well made, and still in the run)
Mount & Blade: Warband (It is the modding and high multiplayer rooms in this game. Napoleonic line regiment battles are epic, (up to 200))
Sins of A Solar Empire (Have followed the game for quite a while, there may be some bugs and over balancing issues but it is still pretty well done and one of a kind.)
Shogun 2 (Love what total war has done, although I do question the logic of some of the units in game, you would need to add mods in order to make it more common sensed at times)
Dawn of War: Soulstorm (it is the final epic of a great great piece of work. I do hope Warhammer 40k gets DoWIII to the majority satisfaction of "There is only War" feeling.)

Derp Derp Derpa!
1) Saints Row 3. Any game that makes me cry makes this list.
2) CS:S because aweosme
3)Half-Life 1 - I've been playing it on and off since I was 8 and still haven't completed... AWESOME
4)Bastion - I like the unique style, live narration.
5)Chantelise - because it's great fun and deserves mor publicity.
First 4, I knew instantly, I had to check my games list for CE tho.
Call me gay for 1 and 5, I can deal with it. (Anyway, I was all over this guy last saturday)
It may seem like I love my railroads, but I just can't find a free roaming realistic game DONE WELL, I'm hoping Kenshi will change that.

Codec264, that crazy boy who always has girls telling him they love him.....
I am digging:
Hearts of iron 3 right now. Odd since I hated it for so long.
UFO: Afterlight.
Anno 2070/1404 (depending on my mood)
Europa barbarorum (a mod of Rome total war)
Fate of the world and Knights of the old republic 2 are fighting for last place.

1).Gothic II- (Its representation of sword/spell RPG is just damn good).
2).Deus EX- (Crawling through vents,funny/flawed combat style and smoking many packs of cigarettes till your character dies. )
3).Dwarf Fortress.- (Because when your expedition leader is running around naked babbling, that's a good indicator that there needs to be some changes.)
4). Full throttle: (Mink farms,land-mines and motorcycle fights, was a LucasArts classic)
5). Alpha Protocol- (Had its ups & its downs.(Crappy shooting, but good dialogue) Its the only game I know of that you can win a boss fight by being better at martial arts(Taiwan president mission)

Is Gothic II's combat different from Risen? Risen was kind of miserable to me.
Yes, it's better than in Risen1 and especially Risen2..Scotterius wrote:Is Gothic II's combat different from Risen? Risen was kind of miserable to me.

Arma III !!!! coming out next year with the ability for underwater warfare and the ability to go undercover as an enemy combatant.
I was thinking of buying Risen II (Cause Piranha bytes (creator of Gothic and Risen) is a damn good company) basically, is the game better than Risen I (And did they screw up the combat in II?)

ARMA series is incredible, i bought the TrackIR5 just for ARMA2, can't wait for ARMA3
I have only played the demo of Risen2, but the combat was a bit worse, though i i think they actually fixed it in a patch.

I've been on Arma 2 combined operation for over 7 hours today, I have checked out the Track1R5 prices in my city and I will be buying it. I have 200 hours of arma 2 and it is by far my best purchase.
It's a realistic combat simulator, not like COD or Battlefield etc.Blxz wrote:What's ARMA? FPS?
