Thoughts on HAWKEN

Anyways! I found Hawken pretty awesome. Great combination of Japanese Mecha and the heavy lumps of junk that the West calls Mechs xD Gameplay is solid and it actually has a lot of Esport potential o_o sadly I am not too great at the game. Still I always wanted a mecha game (A Gundam game in particular but this will do ) So I was wondering. Has anyone here played it yet? If so did you enjoy it? If not do you think you would? And do you think there is room in the market for more Mecha games? Like Gundam style mechs?

MWO is fine, if playing MWLL is an option its always the better one though.

Nice, I didn't like MWO too much mainly because its too slow pase for me :/ But you should give Hawken a try. Free Beta key anyways

I played the original Mechwarrior(s) almost religiously. It went way beyond obsession for me at the time, but was never truly multiplayer.

Now that I've gravitated away from any sort of MMO games, I don't find it holding the same fascination for me. It is basically just a twist on standard shooter games at it's core, which I've had enough of to last me a lifetime.

I'd like to be excited about it, just don't find I am. Glad some people are though.

Heh I always hated MMO games coz they were always the same thing. A WoW clone. However with Firefall Ive seen that they can be different and actually FUN which is insane because MMORPGs are the most boring things on this planet

And you might say its a twist on the standard shooting thing. And I guess it is since you are a mech and you shoot but what do you really expect Although it does feel like you are piloting a big mech and its not just COD with a mech reskin. In all honesty the only 2 shooters I play are MMOs strangely enough (Firefall and now Hawken) since I have always hated FPS games.

You should still give it a try though, wont loose anything if you do.
