Really, the issue was left alone a week ago. Lets not bring this up again. We don't need any fights on the forums. These kinds of pseudo-philosophical topics will never be answered and can't really be argued beyond what "i think/you think" sentences.

Lets save this thread for something more substantial, namely the lack of substantial facial hair in kenshi character creation....

Now that we have a day night cycle my character should be able to get that 5 o'clock shadow. Not to mention old hermits living in the wilderness with beards that should be past their ankles. Should chris ever add that option then I will have an entire party consist of body-length beards. It'll be their uniform.

I would really love an open-world ninja game.

But without the whole jutsu and chakra usage. Well it could be incorporated, but still with the gameplay favouring “real” ninja techniques, the whole in the shadows action.

I tend to think that “ninja games” nowadays (like the naruto franchise) are more about glorified samurai fighting than real shinobi killing action.

You should always proofread carefully to make sure you didn't any words out.

Just like many FPSs out there. You could either play ARMA II and rely on tactics (and at least rational thought) or you could play something like black ops and just run around shooting. There are just way too many mindless action games out there. :|

Yeah, true stealth games are rare. Been watching an LP of Thief lately and the stealth aspect is great. Even that has a decent amount of clubbing though. The player is rewarded by going through the level and knocking everyone out before actually starting to thieve anything.

That is my favourite thing about the hitman series; the focus on one guy. Getting in, taking out your target and getting out without being detected gets the top score. Would be fun if there was some sort of ninja equivalent out there that didn't involve killing half the world.

Exactly my thought. Real stealth ninja games are rare, there's the tenchu franchise which does great in regards to that, but it's not openworld and i get a bit claustrophobic with that. Same for games like hitman, splintercell, thief and so on... I want a legit open world experience (think kenshi) with a believable ninja experience (think tenchu).

Just before, i read sth involving shinobi. I'll call them red and blue:
The blue shinobi sees a fight between the red ninja and a friend. Then from the shadows he blocks an attack with a shuriken (star thingy). Now the red ninja starts taunting him, sth like "who's there, come out you coward!!". This already is not "ninjaesque" but then the blue shinobi decides to come out of the shadows to confront the red one -____- (follows 30minutes of talk before they finaly start fighting). bleuh

iSuck345 wrote:Ok that's it, ranting time:

Rant starts now: why are you trying to explain something that can't? You CANT explain life, that's what makes it so fun! And you CAN be remembered, so stop saying that you can't for it's stupid. Life is about existing, and that is barely an explanation I just said! So why don't people stop trying to talk down others, get a life, saying how life is, saying that NO ONE will be remembered and move on and let the others have their opinion of life? People MAY or MAY NOT remember us, it's unpredictable if they will all of sudden remember us or forget us, that's what makes our life so much more fun.

The rant ends here, consider what was just said.
"Life" is a result of chemistry (and physics, and everything else basically). It is all very explainable, depending on the specifics it can be quite difficult to get all the details. What irritates me is your insistence on denying others the right to make progress. Life being a mystery makes it fun for you? Its as if your arguing that your fun should be put ahead of progress, Is that accurate?

"Oh, someone wants to try solve the mysteries of life? Well too bad, some random dude says its impossible and cant be done. Evidence for these claims? He doesn't need evidence, he just says so! What do you mean many have already been solved? What do you mean people in the past have said the same thing about innumerable scientific advancements to be? No, its impossible, you cant explain anything and nobody else can. Except this old book i found written by starving desert people thousands of years ago. That has the answers, really."

The biggest thing that pisses me off is anti-intellectualism. Do i think everyone needs to go and attempt to be some sort of powerhouse of logic? No, of course not, everyone is an individual and doesn't have to be anything they don't want to. Be a lawyer, be an artist, be the fucking president, however, when people attempt to put down progress, or pretend to know answers to questions, without dedicating a single moment of their lives to actually considering questions many others have worked diligently at, to just spout out answers they found up their ass, that, pisses me off. Rationally answering questions can often be very hard and take time and work to solve. Do the ground work, or have no valid opinion on the subject. Otherwise you undermine yourself and everyone else.

Mattk50, personally, I think iSuck345 was referring more to the "meaning of life" (42) than the "cause/origins of life". But regardless, this conversation is headed towards dangerous topics, let it rest before any of us moderators are forced to step in.

Yours sincerely,

In case someone else was wondering, also it's related to the RTS game Warcraft III.
