I am speechless. I will never play katamari Damacy again in the same way.
I demand essay's for all of them not just Earthbound. Your writing is very pleasing to read. =)

Hehe... shucks. Thanks.
Don't tempt me though, cause I'll do it, and almost no one will appreciate it.

I'm serious though. This is the offtopic sub-forum and is the true crowning glory of the kenshi forums awesomeness. But we need some quality posts to glorify the off-topic-ness.
So, if you are up to it then I'd be happy to hear your musings on whatever issues you can dream up.

Hey giant walls of text and/or ranting (both random and/or alcohol induced) is what Kenshi forum is about.
An interesting post will gather some interesting people.

Really cool and seems good to advertise your favorite game. Now what wold happen if you did that to Kenshi if it was finished.

If kenshi was in a finished state im sure it would be attracting far more attention on its own merits than any trailer made by me would get it, from the steam release to the similarity to well liked games like mount and blade.
(MWLL needed it because its already in a very polished state and has none of that going for it.)

Soulstorm ROCKED. But dawn of war because squad-based in dawn of war 2 and people are stupid and say "XD U NOOB THIS IS TEH NEW RTS!". It's stupid, a true RTS is like dawn of war, company of heroes, warcraft and starcraft!

5. Whatever open-world RPG just came out. Dishonored, then Far Cry 3, and right now Miasmata.
4. Cavemen 2 Cosmos, mod for Civilization 4: Beyond the Sword
3. Dwarf Fortress
2. TES Daggerfall, Morrowind, Skyrim, I put all 3 because I keep rotating between them
1. Fallout 1/2/3/NV, the entire Fallout main series.
You can probably tell I am a huge fan of open worlds, massive complexity, and Bethesda. Anything that makes me think so hard my brain overheats pleases me. I put Bethesda in that category because, on top of making such amazing games (Fallout 3 has always been one of my favorite games, and it still inspires awe even today), they f**k things up so bad all the time, I spend half my time with the games just trying to get them to work, or figure out which file-that-hasn't-been-touched-since-it-was-installed broke this time. I love it!

I''m not going to assign numbers, as I don't have any clear favourite. Just some all time favourites:
- The Elder Scrolls series (esp. Oblivion and Skyrim)
- the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series (esp. Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Sky)
- the Fallout series (all)
- the Total War series (all, except for Shogun 2)
- Mount & Blade: Warband (especially with some of the awesome mods around)
Now that I think about it, all of these have strong modding communities. That can't be a coincidence.

Not sure I have any favorites, so to speak.
But here's the ones I hammer the most.
- Lost Odyssey (360)
- Assassins Creed : series(360)
- Call of Duty : series(PC)
- Battlefield : Series(PC)
- And just about any RPG/MMO/MMORPG I can find ie: Baldur's Gate, Diablo 1,2+3, Darkstone (probably a game most of you's haven't heard of).
Basically, If its not lame like minecraft or terraria, I'll give it a good smash.

It is brilliant how this thread is about the 5 top games and every one of us has managed to cram 10+ games into that list.

It may have something to do with not being able to single out 1 particular game from a series. Due to all in the series being most bodacious. Well, most. A cpl of the CoD games left a lot to be desired. lol

Here we go. Old Man Liver can play these 5 games for the rest of his life and die happy.
1. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
2. Metal Gear Solid
3. TES: Morrowwind
4. Final Fantasy Tactics
5. Okami
Old Man Liver states: "Everything Old Man Liver says is a lie!". Is he telling the truth?

And even that's hard work. If I listed every game that has stayed with me after I finished it, which is usually a good indicator for a good game, the list would be pretty long
