Path of Exile beta key giveaway!

So I have a spare Closed Beta invite key for Path of Exile, and on the 9th of January 2013 (at 16:00h my time, UTC/GMT +1 hour) I'll be giving it away to a random person who commented on this thread.

And yes, I am aware of the fact that it will be entering Open Beta on the 23rd, so maybe it's a little bit late to give away a Closed Beta key, but I only saw I had one an hour ago*. Note: there are two keys, and two contests (on different sites), if one ends without any participants its key will be gifted away to a second person in the other contest.


*Yes, I had totally forgotten I ever applied to enter the Path of Exile beta, and apparently I've had those keys for months now

Welcome to the Path of Exile Beta!

We've been working on Path of Exile for five years now, and are incredibly excited (and a little nervous) to be finally sharing it with people, especially other fans of action RPGs.

This is a genuine product testing beta, not a 'marketing beta'. We're a small indie team that wants your honest feedback. The game will continue to change regularly based on your opinions.

Path of Exile is currently unfinished. We have many months of changes planned, including revamps of almost every major system in the game. Some large features are not enabled yet and will be during the Closed Beta. We intend to openly discuss our plans for these systems so that we can get quality feedback. There is currently no NDA in effect. You may talk about whatever you'd like. You may stream gameplay or post screenshots and videos without permission.

Please do not share your account. We periodically allow you to invite some friends to play with. If you abuse these rules we reserve the right to remove your access.

Please post bug reports, feedback and suggestions for improvement to the Beta forums on http://www.pathofexile.com.

We believe the quality of your feedback and suggestions during this Beta will be one of the biggest contributors to the success of the final game. So, please don't lurk and do give specific feedback and constructive suggestions not just complaints. We're listening to everything you say.

Also please note that characters will be wiped at the end of the Closed Beta period and might be wiped periodically during Beta for any reason.

I just wanted to ask... Just wondering... Why do people have these Beta keys without knowing? Where did you get it?

well i registered to the beta like 5 months ago and i just forgot about the game. now that arcane made me remember, i went ahead and look'd it up.

When looking through my emails searching for my Torchlight 2 account details I stumbled upon an old email telling me I had a beta invitation key, you get these automatically every so often if you're part of the beta apparently. I signed up for Path of Exile a long time ago but lost interest when after a few months I still hadn't gotten into the beta and other, more interesting games started appearing. I've actually got two beta keys, but I'm giving the other one away in another giveaway (if no one's interested in it over there I'll gift it away here as well to a second random pick, don't worry ).

If you do end up deciding that my sexy blue name MUST be the winner then I do have a friend who I could give it to. but I have no doubt there are other more deserving people that are active on this kenshi forum who should get it first.
