Anyone got any ideas to boost forum activity?

Hiya!

New member here, love the game.

One idea that has proved at least somewhat successful in the past is a "What Did You Do In X Today?", X being the game in question (Kenshi in this case, obviously).

These tend to become 'daily blogging' threads, wherein new and veteran players can post their stories of the day, discuss others stories, and possibly share tips and ideas. In the forums I have started such a thread, they often grow very quickly and become the most-viewed thread in that particular sub-forum. As you can see, it started small but so far has evolved into a thread with over a hundred thousand views and over 40,000 replies.

Now, based on Steam Charts, Empyrion has about 10x the player base of Kenshi... but that's okay. Totally different styles of games and whatnot.

Regardless, I plan to start this thread in the "General" sub-forum, but feel free to move it to a more high-traffic area if such is desired. Or delete it if you feel it is inappropriate/too similar to an existing thread.

Hey there!

I used to have a small fanart competition for a few years every Christmas where the winner would get a free copy. Now days I'm too poor for that but of course if there's someone willing to continue the tradition I would be honored to participate with a photoshoot thingy or smthg. And of course Santa's blessing
