Well, my mate up in Hokkaido bought it and he can't seem to log on. Servers are being swamped by people. How's it going for you over in America?

i did read that the asia servers were hit harder than expected.

haha, sucks to live here then. Lucky I didn't preorder.
Worked in the end for him but the servers had a backlog just creating characters apparently. I wonder if it is going to operate like this for the next few weeks. They could have saved this whole problem by stopping single player characters from being online. But that argument has been done to death. I won't go into it again.
Good luck, have fun.

its funny. when the NA servers went down over half, possibly more, of the gripes were over online single player...
i just went outside and worked out for the hourish they were down.

Boycott or a change wont happen. game sold 3,5million first day and so far its above 6,3 million copies sold of the damn game.
Im not one of them, but eventually once they release the entire game Ill mabye buy it...as long the sale is good enough.
Played the beta, and it was rather dull experience untill lvl 9-10 (and beta was 13 lvls max)
Weapons have no weight to them, loot was dull and had little impact tbh.
Auto attacking had no punch to it.
Liked to listen to the diaries however, so I guess they nailed that part.
But frankly, im not desperate enough to be willing ot part of 60$ for an uncomplete game, thats not even closeby of the quallity of the previous diablo games...
Though on a sidenote I must admit Im gonna roll Torchligh II, That game made me grin in joy and giggle serval times over how great the weapons and pace were. And the fact the all gear really mattered. And that you can have more unique skilltree, than in diablo 3...where everyone have same skills at same lvl.
Only thing I guess for me that d3 did win vs torchlight II is the story telling.

im real mixed on this game. :/
its everything diablo is but then again its not. story is eh. character development is bad. but its still a good game. it needs polishing and i think it was released way to early. but the core is there and possibly it can be adjusted with patches.
