Captcha improvements really do help. I don't recall when I activated my account, but is there an e-mail challenge/response system in place too? And, does it allow free email providers like hotmail? Denying a new account when the holder attempts to use open email systems like that can also help (though there are those like Gmail you don't want to filter).

I don't think filtering hotmail out would do any good too, afaik a lot of people use it.

I tend to use spamaverters nowadays anyway like trashmail or spamavert, it's pretty useful to avoid getting spam in your inbox... even if you don't select: [X] Yes, i want publicity in my inbox, it always comes anyway lol.

Nah, there was another just last night. Reported all the new topics and PM'd Toaster. I think it helps when a member alerts a mod personally. The trash is taken out much more efficiently.

It is unfortunate of course, that it even needs to be done in the first place. Seems like the forum gets trashed every 2-3 days.
