Who's shipping it,UPS? (Never use economy shipping(friendly advice)).

$4.00USD can almost buy you 1gal of gas.

Postal Service

i chose online for the simple fact that, i have three kids and im sure stores would be rather busy on release day.

Let me know how it goes. I have been a little turned off from Diablo3. Heard some less than satisfactory stories. Plus I was never a die-hard fan of the series although I have played D2 semi-continuously up until at least late last year so am willing to be convinced if other people give good recommendations AFTER release day.

will do!

ive been watching loads of videos from IGN and Forcestrategy on youtube. the game play looks good however the fact that you need internet access o play and the real-money auction house are a turnoff.

Indeed. The internet access being the biggest one since I have been fighting my internet for months and it only got worse when I moved house. Can't even play single player starcraft 2 now. Even kenshi sometimes has long delays starting while the auto-updater tries to check if anything new has come in.

Still, from August I will be back on. You have until then to convince me. :D

D3 will require a constant internet connection even when you play singleplayer... that's the killer for me. If i buy it ever, it's only after being sure that i can play it offline (be it a patch, crack or server-emulator or whatever) until then I'll play starcraft2 (multiplayer game (more then D3) that you can play offline... lol)

edit: forgot to click on submit... you beat me to it lol
edit2: the hell, you even talk about sc2 too

How do I play SC2 offline?

legally:
You have to validate your guest pass.
If i remember well, you need to go online with your starcraft account once, after that your guest account is valid for 1month (you can then play everything with the guest account except multi obviously).

mod:
SC2Allin1 legit Starcraft II launcher (http://sc2.nibbits.com/assets/starcrack-allin1/) gives you the possibility to play the skirmish maps offline without any form of validation (but not the campaign).

edit: for someone like me who has a most unreliable internet connection in brussels (where im most of the time now for my university studies) it's something i appreciate. If you are loged into your account and you loose your internet connection, you automatically end up in offline mode, i guess for D3 if you're playing single player and loose your connection you'll be kicked from the game just like that

im hoping enough flak will be said that they will include an offline version. obviously you would not have the auction house.

we shall see

i wouldn't bet on that, there's already a lot of talk about it, but apparently to change that, they would have to change a big chunk of the game code, so they are not going to do that... at least not for a few month still i think.

No reason to change it as long as people are pre-ordering and buying it. Only a boycott would convince them to change at this point.

...not gonna happen.
