Nope, Earthquakes around here in the mid canadian shield are extremely unlikley. Tornados are rare too. Wind/Rain storms are the worst thing around here most years.

In my lifetime I think we've had all of one? A small one to. And I was on the other side of the state when it happened.

Only a minor one. I was trying to sleep one night and then my room felt like it was shaking (almost shivering), my first thought was WTF. Illinois really isn't known to have earthquakes.

Ive only been in one, and the first thing i thought was "Oh my god, its 2012!" Turns out it was just this once in a lifetime occurrence.

I got caught in the big earthquake in Japan last year. Less fun than you would think.

Melbourne had one...seriously? They are pretty rare in Australia, being in the middle of a plate and all. Thats pretty cool. I remember there was one up north, just a bit south of Cairns last year sometime.
