I know the monitor is shitty, its the only one I can get atm.

the main thing is to get a good power supply, thats what most people tend to neglect.

Add the price to the items and the max amount you can spend.


Also is 500Watts going to be enough for this rig? Check the specs for the mobo,graphic card and CPU for the minimum PSU.






and you seem to be missing a mouse. Laser mice are a good choice. They are better than the red lighted optical mice, but are of course more expensive.

500W will not be enough. AMD take more draw than Intell, and Radeon takes more draw than Nvidia. I would look at a Kilowatt power supply. This is critical.

For a mouse I have been using the Logitech MX 518. Its reasonable, and very good for really any price. I remember when I bought it that I was replacing a $100 laser one with a $15 dollar optical one, its not a bad mouse. I felt like I was slumming with it at first, but it is very pleasant. It moved from a temporary fix (I was having trouble finding a laser mouse that was like my old one) to a permanent solution.

I am Commander Scotterius, and this is my favorite mouse on the internet.

Edit: I apologize, the MX 518 has been discontinued and unfortunately currently sells for over a hundred dollars. It was replaced with the 'Logitech Optical Gaming Mouse G400 with High-Precision 3600 DPI Optical Engine' . It features the same button layout, twice the sensitivity and twice the price. Still, it is likely a solid mouse for $30.

I agree with Scotterius, you cannot go cheap with the PSU. my rig is roughly four years old and it has a Apevia 1100Watt PSU. (Not the best, but still its very good).Thermaltake I still think is better.

For a kilowatt PSU here is over 350, that is the cheapest I could find. I'm not trying to skim on the power supply but I'm on a budget here.

500 just isnt enough. any reason why you chose AMD? i love AMD (and have it in my system) but after reading the final specs on tomshardware it seems intel has finally sent AMD packing both with speed/efficiency and marketing.

but it looks good to me. building PCs is fun

Dust cooled. I let the dust accumlate and it absorbs the heat for me.








(actually, it doesn't and just tends to fuck things up in general but I'm sure you knew that)

Oh lord, I had to crack open my case recently to replace a dead hard drive. Interior of the tower was spotless. But when I took that front plate off I could've made an actual dust bunny with all that fuzz.

I use fans btw.

I didn't know this was possible, but apparently none of my fans are operating, While idle my laptop is usually at 95c... I'm getting the computer this week though, thank god.

Once while my PC was on, one of my fans just shot off. (The loud noise it was making prior should've acted as warning enough). No more cheap LED cooler master fans for me.
