Lo-Fi Games

How would I go about getting permission to monetize my commentary, as YouTube requests it on certain videos. I intent on using the money purely on my channel so go sniff a butt. I have only earned about 3 dollars anyway. I also want to use artwork from the game in a thumbnail for the series, is that okay? I'm obviously not that knowledgeable.

(I shot Chris an email but it has yet to have been replied to.)

Well that's fine. What exactly is the issue with profiting from such a thing? I am aware that the "everybody else is doing it" argument isn't exactly valid, though why shouldn't I? I'm not looking to argue or anything, I'm just interested in your opinion.

Thank you, Mattk, I agree with your point completely. Multiple people have messaged me or commented on my videos, saying they purchased the Alpha due to my videos, does Chris not benefit from these videos as much (if not more) than me?

I was saying "go sniff a butt", because I was sure someone would attack me for profiting from Kenshi in some way. I have tried to ask Chris politely on multiple occasions, but he simply has not responded.

Nobody really missed the point, just getting offended at it and crap. Its not like any of us can say for a fact yes or no, thats up to chris. one thing i do know is that you are automatically allowed to monetize videos that have commentary over the entirety, legally you need zero permission. You cant just put up a video of recorded gameplay and put ads on it though.

Awesome, but I don't know how to prove that I can monetize my video, youtube still asks for it on random videos.
