So I've been waiting for many months now for a full on update and not an update for the "experimental" version. I'm still running the v0.67.2 version and I've just about lost hope. Does anyone know if they ever plan to release and update to bring me up to speed so that I can keep my hard won victories and skills? Or should I just bite the bullet and roll out with the experimental version and hope I can keep my imports till launch from there?

current version ( non experimental ) is v0.69.2

a topic to read in case you wish to go experimental.

Well I play with the old non-steam version but I have it on steam as well, just can't import my saved game from the old version for some reason.

try zipping up the save you want imported
maybe someone will be nice enough to see if they can import it then save it so you can download it.

just mention which version you want.

Here is my latest save file, I think I uploaded the part I need for the save file to be converted, if anyone wanted to change it that is. :) If not I'll see if I can try something else. You've been a great help though Hatsune, thank you.

Extract the folder and its contents into the kenshi save folder and it should work. I got it to load and run just fine. Just a question does it matter that the version I am running is the experimental build? Just by Opening and then Saving the game his save went from a 7mb folder to a 17.8 meg folder. Hoping he can open this.

you can use the system on steam to go back to the older maps.
shidan also has a list someplace of all the downloads or exe's i believe.

It's just the exe files I keep backed up, and it's not smart to go very far back with them. It doesn't revert ALL changes from the current version to use them, so it could lead to very weird bugs or crashes. They're for reverting in the case of major bugs regardless, such as rare major crashes leaving the experimental version unplayable for a few days. Wouldn't be able to take someone back to the old map.

But as Hatsune said, Steam has multiple old world versions available in the betas tab. So you can use those on a 32-bit machine. :)
