Howdy,
So I was watching a youtuber talking about how he wanted to re-locate a generator inside a building, but to do so, he had to build a whole new generator and take down the old one, which obviously means a loss of 15 building material. Now in the long term, that may not mean much, but having 15 extra building material can make quite a difference.
So my recommendation would be to have a feature where currently existing structures can be re-located to other places. So that saloon that costed 50 material is in a badly situated place? Just move it without cost.
Of course, it can be adjusted so constant relocating will actually require more building materials to be added for lost, unusable scrap that may result as a cost of relocating. I'm thinking that, for your first relocation, just a cost of 1 building material, but then it doubles for every other one afterwards until you might as well completely scrap the old one and build from scratch.
This is my two cents. Thoughts?
Construction Relocation
I don't know about relocation, but maybe instead of just the "demolish" option which leaves no resources, there could be a second "recycle" option that takes more time than "demolish," but gives back 50% or 66% of the resources (because obviously you're not going to be able to move the foundation, some things get accidentally broken, ect.).
