I think stealth kills are a must in this game. With an added chance of stealth kill to any opponent who is asleep.
I also think attacking an opponent from behind (flanking) should have a percentage chance based on the characters skill in sneaking that will allow him an assassination or insta-kill.
But I'm all about stealth. Whether its Tenchu, Skyrim, Splinter Cell, or even Chrono Trigger... I sneak around and go for the throat any chance I get.
Let me know what you think! Thanks.

Im all for the stealth but all those games you only control 1 character.
I think with Kenshi you need to think stealth more like in TotalWar games.
Because you control so many and you would be fighting so many, unless your stealthing skills in very high then atleast one person from the enemy will detect atleast one person from your party and alert everyone else. Just like in Skyrim, one they are alerted their detection ability increases.
If you think stealth with kenshi, i think its more likely to be ambushes and tactical traps.
We will be getting Tactical commands and raking formations along with archers and such.
I think to be able to play a single character like you can in those ther games Chris would need to expand alot on your main character (but that could make you to strong).

I guess those weren't very good name drops. I suppose I'm thinking more along the lines of Robin Hood, Commandos, or Jagged Alliance.
That's one thing I've always wanted- a squad based stealth game. If individual characters can increase skill in stealth, and then as long as they aren't identified as part of a certain faction then the whole team should be okay.
I'm no programmer. I think I will put 300+ hours into Kenshi whether it has stealth kills or not. Heck... id put that much into the game as is. But stealth is what I'm really into, so of course I'm going to request it.

They confirmed town sieges and the like...so it's not out of the possibility. Having someone climb the walls and sneak attack the guards so when they open the door the town can be attacked without going to full alert immediately.
And I mean....there's already an assassination skill in game...I wonder what THAT could be used for.

There is as well a "detection" sort of skill, and i didn t saw either or rememebr see something on stealth but some elements current in game and one of the options gaen from the initial games description makes seem there will be "Be a trader, a thief, a rebel, a mercenary, a business owner, a doctor, a bandit..." don t think a thief wil be starting to do his works at plain daylight and everyone sight, you need to start somewhere.
It s Hbrown!! Gotta get some pies!

This statement will kind of be beside the point, but on the topic of squad based stealth, I've always wanted to see synchronized stealth kills. I don't mean that lame feature in army of two where you pull the trigger on 3. I want to see two or three little guys attack a giant fatty from the shadows. I mean, something like two of them hold him back while the third slices his throat. And then they drag him back into the shadows.

I dont think it would be to difficult to add in atop normal such kills, it would only need certain parameters to be met. Like maybe needing level 60 in all characters assassination skill to do it, or even the leader needed a leadership skill of 10x each person involved.
