Some focus on roleplay elements could do tons to aid the rpg/simulation feeling of the game and make it dynamic; such as

-more factions, quests for reputation (that spawn randomly and are chosen from a list)
-dynamic relations between NPC factions (possibly wars/alliances that break out/cease randomly, in a similar fashion to Sid Meier's Pirates!)
-rumors about the world you can get from barkeepers (yeah, the world is alive!)
-the option to join a faction (and use their facilities as a craftsman/trader, as a citizen)
-"soldier" as a possible profession under a faction with random raid/defense quests that reward rep and cats
-maybe 'contested' outposts that change hands with wars (raw materials could also be implemented, such as iron/stone/wood(?) being present only at certain locations, and the impossibility to build mines elsewhere). When playing your own faction, you would have to capture these areas and risk entering a war if you're after limited resources.

I know the focus is on gameplay at the moment, and that's where it should be. Infrastructure should be sound (I mean 'decent', not 'audio' :p) before all else. I'm not asking for these features right now, hell they might not be implemented at all. Just throwing them out there for when the dev focus is on world design. Will post new ideas under here as I come up.

All stuff you just named are pretty much planned features, may not be totally like that, but in the basic they are.

before you decide to post anything make sure you search for it first, so far everything you have mentioned is already a planed and feature.

If you want to help perfect the ideas just post your idea in the same topic after you search, you may even expand your idea after reading about other peoples ideas.

I feel that the best way to create good role playing is a mix of two things.

1- The ability to dictate who you are. Most importantly would be the simple task of adding a personal backstory. Rather than just having predetermined stories there should be a Custom selection, where you write your own backstory and select your starting items (basically what is currently in the game, but you can pick and choose them to match your personal story).

2- A world that allows you to do what you want. Kenshi so far seems to be able to do that fairly well, but it'd be nice to add more ways to truly affect the world, rather than just faction warring and whatnot. I'm not sure how to really do this, but maybe you have good ideas. Don't hesitate to share. =D

When i first was creating a char, i saw a light square bellow, but didn t seem to move or anything when i changed uptions above, so i pesumed was for that (Nº1), tho in a way might harden the work, sa you write your story, you can say pretty much anything, which could even not fit, "Was a great wattiror" has stats lvl1, "was prince of bla", no one recognizes, Good and problematic same time :/.

And yes i believe there will be more ways in the future.
